Easy Stretches for Back Pain Relief – Just 5 Minutes a Day

Are you one of the many people living with lower back pain or sciatica?  If so, doing some simple stretches for five minutes a day might help alleviate a lot of the pain (and keep you from having back surgery).

On the video below Jen Hilman, a Yoga instructor, demonstrates several easy to do stretches to help with lower back pain.  It shows many different techniques and you’ll probably want to mark it as a resource to watch again and again.

A couple of things.  First, you can stretch anywhere (on your carpeted floor, bed, etc …) but it’s probably easier if you have a mat of some sort.  Also, the stretches are very safe and easy to do.  Most people should be able to sit and do them.  However, if you’re one of the few that can’t, it’s easy to modify or adjust some of the back stretches to a standing position (just fast forward through the video to see which ones you can do).

Back pain is no fun and can make life miserable.  Sitting, standing, walking, and even just going to the grocery store (not to mention travelling) can be extremely painful.

Hopefully, this video will show you some easy-to-do lower back stretches and help ease the pain.

Please share with anyone you know with lower back pain.
