Good neighbors are the best! They do things for you without expecting anything in return. Tisha Beauchmin, a bingo cashier and mother of 5 from Las Vegas, went above and beyond the call of duty.
It all started from a friendship between daughters of Tisha and Audre, a neighbor of Tisha. The girls were extremely close and routinely spent the night at each other’s home.
Then one day Audre asked if Tisha could watch her 3 kids while she went to the hospital for a few days for some tests. Sadly, the tests revealed that Audre had stage 2 stomach and esophageal cancer.
Upon coming home, Audre asked if Tisha would be the guardian for her children if something happened to her. Tisha accepted. Sadly, Audre’s cancer worsened quickly and rapidly developed into a stage 4 cancer. Audre passed away two weeks later.
Tisha and her husband, a Las Vegas casino worker, now had 8 kids to house, feed, and love. Needless to say, it was a struggle to fit everyone in their home and keep food in the house.
So, a kind friend wrote to a local Las Vegas TV station, Fox 5, that helped needy people and families with surprise acts of kindness to explain the Beauchmin’s situation.
Fox 5 stepped in and changed everything with an incredible act of kindness. They were able to get the Las Vegas community involved and transformed the Beauchmin’s home, provided food, and even donated money to help their oldest son.
It’s great when good things happen to good people.
