It’s happened to everyone. We’ve put on our best outfit for a night on the town. Then, as we slip on our favorite leather designer boots, the zipper breaks! Ugh!!
Surprisingly, it’s an easy fix.
As you’ll see on the video, the steps are extremely simple and anyone can repair their boot zippers (or any other zipper for that matter) with just a smidge of patience.
First, you’ll need to remove the zipper stoppers. These are the bigger pieces at the top of the zipper and come off quite easily with some pliers. Then you’ll slide off the zipper and place everything on the table for reassembly.
Next, carefully close the zipper. This takes a little patience as you’re manually doing what the zipper does.
When the zippers almost closed you will then work the zipper piece back over the threads. A good tip that he suggests is to remove the last link on either side as it makes it much easier to get the zipper piece back on.
Last, reattach the zipper stoppers and you’re good to go.
It’s super easy and you’ll have your favorite designer boots back on your feet in no time at all.
