Gifted Makeup Artist Will Make You Do a Double Take

Mimi Choi is more like a stylish magician versus a stunning makeup artist. Her extreme skills have allowed her to create stunning optical illusions using just makeup, her body parts, and a huge dose of imagination.

Only 31 years old, Mimi has created head-turning illusions from transforming her hand into a piece of sushi, adding stylish tears to her face, and creating optical illusions of multiple eyes to showcasing movement simulation and intertwining animals (snakes) and objects with her lips. As you’ll see, her designs and creations are absolutely incredible.

Although not formally trained, this Vancouver, Canada makeup artist, has tried to broaden her skills by attending a local beauty college, Blanche Macdonald. However, her creativity mostly just comes from her imagination and normal everyday life encounters and situations.

Here’s what she said to Allure,

“When I do illusions now, I draw my inspiration mostly from my surroundings, photography, paintings, and emotions. I try not to look at other makeup artists’ work too much and challenge myself to produce original, unique work.”
