Let’s face it: air travel can be a huge hassle. A typical airplane trip consists of arriving to airport before your flight, dealing with bags, security lines, and finally getting to your plane. That doesn’t take into the account unexpected airplane weather delays, cancellations, and over-bookings.
Of course, statistically speaking, airplane travel is the safest way to go. It’s not always the most inexpensive but definitely safer.
That said, changing or purchasing a last minute ticket can be extremely expensive and frustrating. And, it’s exactly what happened to gentleman at the airport.
Apparently, he was flying with his young daughter who just recently turned two. He assumed that she didn’t need a ticket and could sit in his lap since she was so young. However, the man didn’t realize that his daughter required a ticket now that she was over two.
He told the flight check-in consultant that he couldn’t afford the $749 ticket and was embarrassed and heartbroken.
A kind woman patiently waiting in line overheard the exchange and volunteered to pay for the ticket. She pulled out her credit card and paid the fee.
Overjoyed, the man hugged her and tried to get her contact information (to repay and thank her). She said not to worry about it and went on with the rest of her travels.
Now that is a woman destined for some good Karma!!
