Imagine you’re home alone with your 3-month-son and armed intruders attempt to break into your house. Now imagine that it’s New Year’s Eve and your husband just passed away from Cancer the week before.
That’s a scary thought and exactly the situation Sarah found herself in.
Two armed intruders began banging on the door trying to get into her house. Thinking quickly, Sarah quickly barricaded one door with a couch, put a bottle in her son’s mouth, and made sure the other doors were locked.
Next, she got two loaded guns and called 911.
As you’ll hear in the harrowing recorded 911 call Sarah asks if it’s ok to shoot the intruders.
The 911 Operator responds by saying that she should do what she has to do to protect her son.
What happened next would put shivers down anyone’s spine.
One of the two men smashed open her door and came at Sarah with a butcher knife. Sarah, not hesitating, shot the man with her 12-gauge shotgun to protect her son.
It was a very trying evening to say the least for Sarah.
As Sarah said to the local news, “You have to make a choice; you or him. I choose my son.”
Sarah was not charged with any crime because she acted in self-defense.
