Some things in life are not as advertised. That’s especially true when shopping online.
Watching this video will definitely make you cringe at the “bait and switch” techniques. Maybe not that bad but certainly the clothes are not as advertised. Of course, it also helps if you’re a model and can correctly size the outfit (which is extremely difficult if being manufactured overseas – a “6” is not always a “6”).
You’ll see a couple of colossal online shopping horror stories.
In one, a woman was shopping for a wedding dress online and received an ill-fitting lime green dress instead of the white, beautiful gown that she expected.
Another person ordered a bouquet of flowers online for Valentine’s Day. What showed up was a withered plant that no woman would want except in the trash.
In the “too good to be true” category, one suburban mom thought she’d found a great online deal on some luxurious outfits. The Singapore based company even offered free shipping. What she received was incredibly too small (even after double checking the sizes before ordering). There was one bright side to this story, her young daughter was thrilled because the outfits fit her perfectly.
The moral of the video: Be careful buying online! What you order might be different from what you’ll receive.
