Peeling a hard-boiled egg can be extremely frustrating. Sometimes the egg shell comes right off while other times you’re left holding an utter mess.
Well, here’s an easy solution.
This easy-to-follow video shows the exact steps to peel the perfect hard-boiled egg everytime. As you’ll see on the video, here’s how to do it.
First, get a large enough pot to hold the number of eggs that you want to hard-boil. Then fill the pot with just enough water to cover the tops of the eggs. Put the pot on the stove and heat until the water begins to boil.
Next, gently place the eggs in the pot and let them boil for approximately 13 minutes. One note, you can turn the boiling temperature down from full heat to middle-lower levels after putting the eggs in to avoid splashing (they’ll still hard-boil just fine).
After 13 minutes, remove the pot from the stove and fill will cold water to cool the eggs. Also, you’ll want to add some ice to the pot to help rapidly cool the eggs and harden the shells. After letting sit for about 15 minutes, the eggs should be ready to peel quite easily.
To peel, gently tap the eggs on a hard service (to crack the outer shell) and then roll to peel the egg shell off entirely. If you did the other steps, the egg shell should come off super easy.
That’s it. You now know how to make perfect hard-boiled eggs the easy way!
