It’s tough when the kids are out of school. They need constant entertainment and projects to keep them busy. Problem solved with the Rainbow Fan.
The Rainbow Fan is an incredibly easy project that you can modify to your tastes (and include the kids). As you’ll see on the video, all you need is a small brush, paint, and a fan.
The video shows a small desk fan but you could use a larger one or even a ceiling fan if you’d like. The principle remains the same.
Essentially, you will be painting different stripes of colors on each blade (in the same order and size). After finishing and putting the fan back together the blades will appear as stripes of color as they spin.
A twist that I’ve seen elsewhere is to color each blade a solid, different color. As they spin it’s supposed to appear as a “rainbow.” I’ve seen these work ok but it seems that the stripes stand out a lot more.
For a young child creating a Rainbow Fan could be a fun project and totally jazz up their room. Plus, it’s super easy to make and doesn’t create a huge mess.
